East Cheshire Council Master Composters

Composting is something practical which we can all do to support a sustainable future.  About one third of all household waste could be composted, reducing the mountains of waste which we send to landfill each year.

The Master Composter Project is a joint initiative by Cheshire West & Cheshire East Councils to encourage residents to home compost.

The project uses 40 local volunteers who act as ‘composting experts’, attending events and activities across the county to give advice and information on the art of composting.

The volunteers are available to run stalls, give talks and deliver workshops to adults and children.

Download information posters (.pdf format): poster 1 and poster 2

If you would like the Master Composters to attend your event or if you need some advice on composting please contact the Volunteer Coordinator, Annelise Brilli

Composting experts from the project will be attending our plant fair at Adlington Hall on 30th May 2010.

Why not come along and find out how you can become a master at home composting
