Alluring Plants

'Based on a wildlife farm, at Underton near Bridgnorth, Shropshire I specialise is growing beautiful, sustainably grown plants which are rich in sources of nectar and pollen needed by our bees and butterflies.

All my plants are grown in peat-free compost without the use of any pesticides. I only use biodegradable plant pots. My small plants are grown in 9cm Vipots which  are manufactured from natural resources, utilising the husk fibre of annual crops including coconut shell and grain husks. Above ground, as long as it remains intact the pot will last for 3-5 years’ service but when broken it will biodegrade in 9-18 months. I pot on into 13cm (1 litre) coir pots made from unused husks of coconuts. Coir fibre is a totally renewable. The pots last about a year above ground and will become 'hairy'. There is no need to remove the plant from the pot- simply plant them both together. The roots will easily grow through the pot walls and the coir will biodegrade as the plant grows.

2018 schedule will be announced soon
